I am trained to evaluate and treat adult patients with psychiatric disorders ranging from complicated grief, anxiety, and depression to mania and psychosis. I have special expertise in patients who are facing both serious medical and psychiatric conditions, and a particular interest in those with chronic and/or life-limiting conditions, such as cancer, severe end-stage organ disease (heart, lung, kidney, liver, etc.), neurological, and autoimmune diseases.

I do not provide child, couples, or family therapy as I am not trained in these modalities.

I primarily offer telepsych visits to patients throughout New York state, and can also offer a limited number of in-person visits to patients located in or near New York City.

Online sessions can be more flexible and convenient than in-person sessions. They will work best when you have a safe, private, and quiet setting and can share your full attention with me.

I am out of network for all private insurance, and am in-network only for traditional Medicare. I can provide you with a detailed medical invoice to send to your insurance company for reimbursement when applicable.

Before your first appointment, I will send you intake forms to gather your medical and psychiatric history. Please complete these forms at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. The more information you provide, the more productive our time together will be.

During your first appointment, we will review your history, discuss your symptoms, values, and goals, and consider treatment options. It may take more than one session to cover all the items. The session may or may not end with being prescribed medication. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about my practice and its policies to make sure we are always on the same page. We will also discuss if my expertise is a good fit for you and if we will continue to work together.

Your appointment time is held specifically for you. In order to allow for all patients to be seen in a timely manner, there is a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations, missed appointments, and late reschedules are charged the full fee of the session time.
