Meet Dr. Stephanie Schmitz, MD

I am board-certified in three specialties — psychiatry, internal medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed my combined internal medicine and psychiatry residency at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and my fellowship in palliative medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC. I have experience in all three fields, having worked as a primary care doctor, a psychiatry consultant, and a palliative care consultant.

My goal is to provide support and guidance through your complex health journey and to help reduce suffering and find meaning across various aspects of your life. I utilize a trauma-informed approach and practice cultural humility.
